I am in Zombie mode as I ramp myself up for my first solo show at M Modern. There will be a total of 40 new works in my show all based on the works of Johnny Cash. Johnny is a big part of my life all thanks to my step-grandpa whom was known as Gunky to his grandkids. I am super stoked as I hooked up with my good friend Shaunna Peterson on a painting title "The Girl from North Country" and I have to say the result is off the charts.
Here is my part of the painting;
and her is the final with Shaunna's delicious-brilliance!!;
So please if you are in the area of Palm Springs come out on Nov 15th and say hey as it would be great to meet you.

Next Up is "The Cheap Date Show" this truly original group show that has me along with 4 of my mates Aaron Leighton, Clayton Hanmer, Steve Manale and Steve Wilson. So join us in the back seat for the stickier side of romance. I will have four new paintings in the show. When thinking of a cheap date I thought why not explore the cheapest form of a date and that is to date ones' self. It opens next week on June 4th from 6 - 11 pm at the Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto and it is shaping up to be one show this summer and the one of two times I am showing in my home town this summer so clink this link for more info http://www.steamwhistle.ca/events/eventdetail.php?EventID=211 or if your private jet is in the garage enjoy the painting in their pixelated form here.

Well the day has surfaced for my painting to do me proud. As tonight Jensen and Katie of G88 LA open their doors to what Jensen says "should be the galleries best show to dat". So my painting 3' x 3' acyrlic on maple veneer - "Hulk Loves Betty" will enjoy itself hung alongside of some absolutely A-List artistes painting today in the Low Brow scene such as Tim Biskup, Craola, Amanda Visell, Chris Ryniak and some geezer from Toronto, hmmmm I wonder who that could be?? Seriously, I was humbled when Jensen put the call into me back in the early summer and just hope Stan Lee the 85 year old juggernaut gets a smile as he views my painting.
